The lineup features the acclaimed DXS18 and recently upgraded versions of the 15” and 12” models, the DXS15mkII and DXS12mkII, which have adopted technologies and features from the DXS18 for an added professional edge and boost in performance. The new DXS15mkII capable of producing tight, thunderous low frequencies as low as 40Hz at a maximum SPL of 135dB, this updated model’s optimized band-pass design and state-of-the-art DSP ensure the extremely high power output is focused, powerful, and distortion-free. A custom made, long throw 15” driver and 1020W of Class D power allow high output all night long!
The Yamaha DXS15XLF-D Powered Subwoofer produces deep, tight, controlled and clean thunderous bass all the way down to 40Hz. The Yamaha DXS15XLF-D delivers a maximum SPL of 136dB with 1600W of power, with state-of-the-art DSP processing to produce, clean, powerful and distortion-free bass. The DXS15XLF-D features built-in D-XSUB processing that allows you to extend the frequency range even lower for when you need to add more thunderous bass. The DXS15XLF-D also features a durable Polyurea coating which is extremely damage resistant, providing optimum protection against scratches and ensures durability for the subwoofer.
High-Efficiency 1020W Class-D Amplifiers
The DXS’s high-performance Class-D amplifier is capable of producing up to 1020W of power, and a maximum SPL of 136dB, delivered with exceptional clarity and accuracy. Both the DXS15mkII and DXS12mkII can produce 3dB more SPL than previous models.
Custom Designed Transducer
The high-output woofer of DXS18 features a 4″ voice coil magnet and delivers powerful, well-defined, low-frequency bass with minimal distortion. The DXS12mkII and DXS15mkII both feature 2.5″ voice coil magnets.
Band-Pass Type Enclosure
All DXS Series enclosures incorporate a band-pass design to reduce unwanted vibrations and noise that could otherwise sabotage your sound. We’ve also designed a very durable plywood enclosure which, when combined with the band-pass configuration, tested better than the traditional bass-reflex design and reduced distortion considerably, making it possible to achieve a higher SPL.
