The Sela Melody Tongue Drum 14″ D Amara in Navy Blue is a medium-sized steel tongue drum with nine tone fields and a diameter of just under 36 centimetres. With its warm, long-lasting and soothing sound, it is suitable for relaxation in everyday life as well as for serious music-making or early musical education for children. It not only sounds particularly good, but is also a chic eye-catcher with its matt blue surface – whether at home, in the office or in the yoga studio.

The tone fields of the Melody Tongue Drum 14″ D Amara are on the D minor scale, one of the most frequently played tunings for handpans and tongue drums. Since all the notes of the instrument fit together harmoniously, a melodious sound is always created when played without any “wrong” notes – depending on the note sequence, sometimes upbeat and cheerful, sometimes more meditative. Because of the central D(3) keynote, composing on this tongue drum is particularly easy. It can be played intuitively and combined well with other instruments.

Therefore, this instrument is not only recommended for experienced music lovers and professional sound therapists, but especially for beginners without any previous musical knowledge. The number of nine tone fields does not overwhelm, but offers enough possibilities for varied and exciting melodies in the long run.

To get you started right after unpacking, each Sela Melody Tongue Drum comes with two high-quality mallets with beechwood handles and round rubber heads. For safe transport, a padded carrying bag with backpack function is also included, which also offers enough space for accessories. Rubber feet on the underside of the instrument ensure a secure stand, and a rubber ring protects the outer edge of the tongue drum from damage.
